Resumen
This research, the first about the subject in the Education Masters program at the University San Tomas, emerged as a need for the researchers to specify the argument categories used by professors and students in the interpersonal conflict resolution scenarios that they are faced with.
Therefore, the following are the main argument categories: parties, subject matter, rationale, purpose and resolution techniques used. Methodologically this research was
conducted using the participant’s observation strategy and developing the argument categories as categories for analysis.
The findings showed that while professors used the regulation as their essential reasoning, students appeal to emotions as the foundation of their logic.
