Resumen
The purpose of this work was the construction of a Fed-Batch bioreactor that would allow the growth of anaerobic bacteria. For this reason, through a thorough search, decision matrices were built, where the different instruments that would be part of this equipment were compared. . As a result, a bioreactor with a capacity of 8 liters and with a glass wall was built, in turn this device has the following tools: digital thermometer, pressure gauge, key for entering and removing substrate, motor with a mixing capacity of 40 -60 rpm To evaluate the operation of the bioreactor test runs were carried out, by adding substrate at different time intervals: daily, every three days and every five days all with a mixing regime of 40 rpm and with constant monitoring of parameters such as pH and the temperature. During these runs, biogas production peaks were observed after each feeding, evidencing that the bioreactor constructed allowed the development of anaerobic bacteria, as well as the control of influential variables in biogas production. Within the feeding performed (300 ml of substrate, 1: 7 ratio), it was observed that a dosage every three days is ideal for degradation of the substrate entered, producing between 30-40% more biogas compared to feeds daily and every five days.
