Resumen
The construction of identity in young people has been an issue in vogue in the last 10 years and added to a concern about the situation of the country in recent years in terms of political participation, we wanted to understand the interplay between the self-narrations and the Political participation of the skaters of the city of Bogotá. By means of a qualitative research of second order, two conversational scenarios were designed to dialogue with young skaters between 18-24 years in the 18-24 years in the city of Bogotá about the narratives and political participation, respectively. In addition, second-order social observation strategies were used, using the field diary technique, discourse analysis as a central strategy and social cartography. However, the self-narrations built and forefront in this work were essentially progressive contributing to the construction of a much more united skate community. With regard to political participation, young skaters have a non-conventional political participation and are directed towards self-management of places, events, etc., which seek to break the stigmatization that the non-skater community has against them. Thus, the interplays between political participation and self-narrations are built in a bidirectional way, since the discourse that contributes to the construction of its identity in a relational way, that is to say, links with others skaters, the experiences, the places, the memories and this corresponds to the "political self-management" as a way of to make visible in the city and to promote the sport practice.
