The purpose of this research project is to develop a methodological proposal for risk management in the passenger land transport terminals in Girardot, Ibagué and Chiquinquirá, to be applied, so that it is taken into account by the top management of the organizations when making these types of decisions.
Organizations today face great challenges inherent to the operation and commitment to meet the requirements (need and expectations) of their customers and stakeholders, this determines that these organizations contemplate a risk scenario which allows them to know the different factors that can influence the fulfillment of its objectives. Although there are some methodologies to manage risk such as the "Guide for Risk Management and the Design of Controls in Public Entities", these are focused on a specific sector or simply allow the identification of the corresponding risk matrices without being generate a holistic scenario for decision-making based on a comprehensive risk analysis (Denis Parra, 2019)
In the same way, it is identified that in the passenger land transport terminals there are risks inherent in the operation and that they are not managed in an adequate way, for this reason their operation is exposed to effects that may impact on the offer of their services. This is why this research is focused on designing a methodological proposal for the Girardot, Ibagué and Chiquinquirá terminals, which allows the risks to be managed effectively.
Within the development of the investigation, a diagnosis will be carried out that assesses risk management in each of the terminals according to the criteria established by ISO 31000: 2018, where we find important aspects that are taken into account by the terminals and that They are a fundamental axis for the effectiveness of the management of these risks, in addition, the gaps that exist between risk management from one terminal to another can be identified, in addition, after the diagnosis is made, the importance of having a methodology that provides the guidelines for managing risks adequately and effectively at these terminals.
After this and based on the results of the diagnosis and the NTC-IEC / ISO 31010: 2020, the identification of techniques associated with risk management applied to the context of transport terminals is carried out. In this sense, it identifies and defines which tools are relevant to use for risk management.
Then the aspects to be taken into account in risk management are integrated, according to the results obtained by the diagnosis, these aspects are classified according to the Deming cycle and the stages given by ISO 31000: 2018, given this they are defined and describe the different phases of the methodological proposal.
It is expected that this research will be useful for the fulfillment of organizational objectives, decision-making and that the work effectively contributes in the permanent search to continuously improve and meet the needs and expectations of all interested parties.
