Social innovation leads to a transformative change in the improvement of the community's quality of life, opening space for human development, specifically in areas such as vocational training where social adversities are exacerbating and solutions are not enough to effectively attend the difficulties they face; Thus the situation, this research analyzes the causes that prevent the visibility of the social innovation factors necessary to strengthen vocational training, especially the program "development and adaptation of prosthetics and orthoses" implemented in the National Service of Learning - SENA -. The methodology used was a mixed approach that systematically integrates the phases of collection, analysis and linking of qualitative and quantitative data, to obtain new processes conceived through the identification and study of factors that involve, among others, the intensification of transfer of knowledge and the consolidation of capacities through the development of competences, progressively increasing change to improve results.
