During the execution phase, all construction projects are exposed to a series of variants, setbacks and inconsistencies, either due to shortcomings in the study, design and planning phase or to external contingencies (weather incidents, machinery breakdown, shortages of materials) that lead the performers to make decisions with the aim of facing and resolving these unforeseen events that put the fulfillment of the contractual object at risk. How to implement strategies that minimize these mishaps during the execution period and contribute to the optimization of processes? Taking as an object of study the case of Sinergia Constructora Zomac S.A.S of Florencia Caquetá, focusing the interest on the Work Contract No. 20200000362, as well as on the final report of the respective inspection contract, and using the tools provided by applied research with a quantitative approach, this monograph designs a guide for the application of the Kaizen or permanent improvement methodology with the aim of optimizing the execution processes of construction contracts led by this company.
