Abstract
The aim of this paper is to seek strategies to attract greater foreign direct investment for the cannabic sector in Colombia, for this purpose, we rely on Dunning's eclectic theory which focuses on highlighting the importance of location as a comparative advantage. From this, the panorama of cannabis worldwide was analyzed and the commercial profiles of the companies that currently make this type of investment in the cannabis industry in Colombia were identified. After demonstrating the opportunity that Colombia has to become a world power in this sector, it was identified that in Colombia strategies can be generated and implemented to attract greater foreign direct investment, such as making the legal framework more flexible in Colombia and, on the other hand, creating of tax or financial incentives in the country for the Cannabis sector.
