La indagación como estrategia pedagógica para el desarrollo de habilidades científicas en los estudiantes de grado quinto

Resumen
The purpose of this research aims to improve the scientific competence in the Science teaching and learning processes through inquiry as scientific competence implemented in the pedagogical practices carried out with a group of students from fifth grade at Colegio Agustiniano Ciudad Salitre, private school in Bogotá, Colombia. The main topic was focused on “clasificación taxonómica de los animales domésticos” and play was incorporated as a dynamic factor in the construction and reconstruction of knowledge getting a meaningful and cooperative learning. In this respect, the variety of activities developed student’s curiosity and engage them in making hypothesis in problem-solving processes. The entrance and exit test, structured and semi structure interviews, and the teacher´s journal served as instruments for data collection in this study. Finally, findings reveal that the implementation of the proposal based on inquiry and play contributes to the development of the scientific competences
