The Francis turbine has evolved a lot since its invention, can take advantage of a wide range of flows and is used for the production of electrical energy. It is important to mention that it was worked with an angle in the distributor of 30° and the highest efficiency obtained was 51%. The simulations were carried out with the computational fluid mechanics (CFD) STAR-CCM + software, the water was taken at 15° C as the fluid to be studied and the model of k-? was established to model the turbulence."--Tomado del Formato de Documento de Grado
