The project is based on the confrontation of urban antagonisms that are reflected through the hydrology of Bogotá. In this way, the research focuses on understanding the particularities that frame the territory where these antagonisms are located, generating through design different strategies that close the gap between one and the other, managing to weave the human and natural relationships that are fragmented in the city through the re significance of public space. This is how the project takes as its starting point the confrontation of two different urban collisions between infrastructure and landscape. On the one hand, it is investigated the underground tunnel of the Quebrada la vieja located on the circumvallar avenue with 70th street, a place of immediate connection between the waters that descend from the eastern hills entering the city. And, on the other hand, the existing connection bridge in the Tibabuyes wetland at the Lisbon district in the west of the city is analyzed. Place where various water canals flow after having made its journey through the city. Thus, if a straight line is drawn on the plane, these points are located just on the opposite sides, where the bodies of water are born and flow into the city. Being the antagonisms present between them, the ones that arouse the interest of activating the use of public space as a mechanism of union. Therefore, an exploration has been carried out in what represents the surface where the public is located, within the urban, social and environmental framework. This research has led to the understanding of the surface as a skin that covers the territory and that can adapt to the surrounding conditions. Under this understanding, this term is used as an element that helps to rebuilt social, spatial and ecological bondings in the city around water bodies in Bogotá.
