Among the most used methods in these geological settings is the Magnetotelluric (MT) method. This technique is designed to record the magnetotelluric field of the Earth which is characterized for propagating at low frequencies (0.001 -1 Hz) that permit a better resolution power to image the resistivity structure of the mantle at depths up to 120 km. In this thesis, the objective was to implement the forward problem to model the electrical structure beneath Juan de Fuca Ridge by adjusting values of resistivity and thickness for a homogeneous and isotropic layered system in 1D. These parameters inserted in the code were taken from the results of the inversions of the MT data carried out in the work of Constable et al. (1997) in the same zone. This previous work consisted of an MT
