dc.description.abstractThis article offers an approach to some aspects related to the teaching-learning process of five professors of the educational institution Villa Santana. It takes a brief look at the parameters which govern four of the most significant pedagogical models in the institution mentioned before, and about the idea of PEI supported by the “Ministerio de Educación Nacional”, highlighting the importance of the correlation between the “Modelo Educativo Institucional”, autonomous-social-cognitive and the appropriated model for each professor. Subsequently, this article analyzes the pedagogical practices in the classroom, making an approach to the teaching model identified in each teacher from his speech, the observation of some of his classes and documentary analysis of PEI. This coupled with the findings allows providing an important discussion and an invitation for the teachers to reflect and redefine their teaching processes given the fact that these are important in the construction of knowledge and training of students. In this way, initiate a path to improve the quality of education and impact on quality of life of students in that place
