Sports injuries (LD) are a matter of interest in recent years within sports psychology. From the scientific field, the psychological variables in sportsman's injuries have been evidenced. However, more research is required to delve into the psychological characteristics associated with sports return. Objective: to identify the psychological characteristics related to sports performance (CPRD) and anxiety in injured athletes. Method: Quantitative Non-Experimental cross-sectional study, 86 participants by intentional sampling, between 15 and 43 years (Mage=26.4, DE= 6.7). Men n = 64, 74.4% (Mage= 26.9, DE=6.7), and women n = 22, 25.6% (Mage= 24.6, DE=6.7). Battery completed: Sports injury self-report questionnaire, addressing whether they are currently injured, number of injuries, and severity. Questionnaire of Psychological Characteristics related to Sport Performance (CPRD). Anxiety was assessed through CSAI-2 and SAS-2. Results: Analysis using non-parametric models indicates that currently injured athletes compared to those who were injured did not differ in CPRD scores, and anxiety. The LD severity level (Mild, Moderate, and Severe) did not show differences either. Meanwhile, gender does show differences in the somatic anxiety factor of SAS-2, (U-MW = 440.5, z = -2.64, p = .008, PS = .31).
