Scientific advances and technological revolutions in recent centuries have caused structural changes within societies worldwide. These changes are evident in the socio-economic and technological sphere and also in the way the individual perceives himself, how he relates and interacts with others and with nature; but, above all, in the way it relates to work and productivity. The expansion of industrialization, mechanization and automation, which sustained strong economic monopolies, gradually replaced the physical fatigue of the working class with the mental fatigue of the worker. The alienation, which accompanies this substitution, has led the individual to the point of denying his own existence through labor domination and self-exploitation in terms of the "progress of society." In this way, alienation ends up dressing the irrational with rationality.
