Retos de la industria de fondos de inversión colectiva en Colombia frente a las tendencias globales de gestión y distribución

Abstract

The digitization and relevance that the application of Environmental, Social and Corporate Governance (ESG) criteria in global financial markets has gained in recent years brings with its multiple challenges for the activity of management and distribution of investment funds. Around the world, financial asset managers consistently move towards transforming these trends into their strategic planes, showing robust developments in the criteria they take into account for their investment processes, and in the design of tools to distribute their products among different segments of investors, responding to their demands and needs. This work reviews international trends in the management and distribution of investment funds, analyzes the regulatory progress of the Colombian market and identifies challenges for the industry as strategic pillars that can be considered for its development.
