Abstract

This article aims to explain the use of percussion effects within the guitar technique, as a generating element of new repertoire evidenced in three original pieces for guitar duo, starting from the knowledge of the extended techniques applied to the "classical" guitar and the investigation of three traditional rhythms of the Atlantic coast. This is meant to provide a contribute to the repertoire of guitar duets through the composition and application of percussive effects.
