Market demands and globalization test medium and small enterprises in Colombia and force them to change their internal processes, applying strategies that allow them to improve their competitiveness, the objective of this work was to analyze the degree of job satisfaction of the workers of a company in the textile sector of Bogotá, the results of which will be the basis for structuring a motivational plan that contributes to the improvement of performance. A descriptive qualitative methodology was used, the instrument used was semi-structured interviews conducted with employees in different areas of the company. For the analysis of the results, the ECRO model (conceptual, referential and operational scheme) was used, which allowed to establish a qualification for each of the aspects that affect job satisfaction and to identify the most relevant, in order to define actions leading to improvements in human resource management through a more effective motivation plan. Across this investigation it was possible to conclude that the labor satisfaction, the motivation and the performance are closely related and are complementary, therefore, the organizations must work according to the improvement of the labor conditions, with the intention of impelling the performance and consequently the productivity.
