Resumen
Job desertion in the Colombian countryside is a real and relevant phenomenon and growing. This is validated in view of results in recent interviews concerning unemployment in the Colombian rural area, reaching around 6%. It is thought that this desertion is happening due to the search for better opportunities or a better quality of life of the people who are involved in the matter, due to migration to sectors like mining or construction that have been growing. This creates a feeling that there are certain gaps or disagreements from workers or affecting some member of their family; due to a reduction of the birth rate in the rural areas of the country. This study focuses on desertion by the milking personnel in the dairy companies located in the region knows as the coffee axis, analyzing why more than 70% of the milkers don’t keep their job or do not achieve job stability where they work as professionals in the field, but prefer to change locations (farms) even if that means not evolving in their functions; with an additional factor, that this happening in very short amounts of time.
