Este documento es una propuesta pedagógica que pretende mediante dos temas, vida cotidiana y arquitectura del siglo XIX y la visita al Museo de la Independencia Casa del Florero, acercar a los niños y niñas de 5 a 7 años a la historia. Esto por medio de 4 rutas que tienen 3 momentos, antes de la visita al museo, durante la visita al museo y después de la visita, no solo con el fin de crear un vínculo entre museo- escuela, sino también de potenciar el aprendizaje de la historia en esta población, debido a que según las indagaciones realizadas en los documentos oficiales de educación en la primera infancia no se habla de historia o algún tema que se relacione; hay que mencionar además que el trabajo conjunto con lugares históricos favorece la apropiación de conocimiento para esta población, ya que el vivir la experiencia y el conocer de cerca lo que pudo ser el pasado, facilita de alguna manera el entendimiento de las diferencias entre pasado y presente. Por esto, se habla de pensamiento histórico, entendido como un proceso relacionado con el tiempo, el cual permite un acercamiento a la historia a partir de la comprensión de conceptos relacionados con este, utilización de fuentes históricas y diversas interpretaciones de sucesos que dan a entender el presente. Por lo anterior el papel del espacio museo en esta propuesta es importante debido a que nos permite conocer un poco más de cerca parte de la historia, a partir de objetos, sucesos y personajes.
