Proyecto Info Mobility Bicycle. Formulación de instrumentos para la construcción de una base referencial contextual.

Abstract

La construcción de la base referencial del proyecto iMB se guía mediante el desarrollo de instrumentos que colaboren el ejercicio de recolección de data para así caracterizar al contexto que vive el ciclismo urbano en Santiago de Cali, cumpliendo con el objetivo de fomentar e impulsar el uso de la bicicleta en la ciudad. Por tal motivo, este proyecto buscó en un principio explorar con distintos colectivos que participan activamente en la construcción de un paisaje urbano adaptado a las necesidades de los ciclistas, identificando en ellos, la visión propia que poseen alrededor de la bicicleta en relación con la ciudad, entre los cuales se destaca una organización que congrega a los colectivos, académicos e interesados en el tema; la Mesa de Transporte No Motorizado, lugar donde exponen estadísticas bici de la ciudad, trabajos académicos, iniciativas, entre otros, además de promover actividades pedagógicas o lúdicas en bici. Por consiguiente, el proyecto elaboro 3 instrumentos como base referencial del proyecto iMB, los cuales se caracterizan según su finalidad: la encuesta, como instrumento para conocer a los ciclistas y su mundo; las fichas de observación, observar a los ciclistas y su entorno, y, por último, el protocolo de grupo focal, que sirve para entender el punto de vista de los ciclistas. Cada uno de los instrumentos se desarrolló siguiendo un proceso proyectual en la que se intervino la totalidad de los conocimientos adquiridos en la exploración previa al ejercicio del diseño; en el cual, colaborando con distintas etapas de validación y pruebas efectuados con colectivos, particulares y académicos consolidaron los instrumentos. En conclusión, el proyecto podrá ser aplicado en futuras investigaciones que tengan como fin último el dar cuerpo a un colectivo definido de personas que poseen como principal medio de transporte la bicicleta y con ello enmarcarlos dentro de la taxonomía de ciclistas urbanos, la caracterización del contexto y del entorno urbano.

The construction of the reference base of the iMB project is guided by the development of instruments that collaborate with the data collection exercise in order to characterize the context of urban cycling in Santiago de Cali, fulfilling the objective of promoting and encouraging the use of bicycles in the city. For this reason, this project initially sought to explore with various groups that actively participate in the construction of an urban landscape adapted to the needs of cyclists, identifying in them, the vision they have around the bicycle in relation to the city, among which stands out an organization that brings together the groups, academics and interested in the subject, the Non-Motorized Transport Table, a place where they expose cycling statistics of the city, academic papers, initiatives, among others, in addition to promoting educational or recreational activities by bike. Therefore, the project developed 3 instruments as a reference base for the iMB project, which are characterized by their purpose: the survey, as a tool to know the cyclists and their world; the observation sheets, observe the cyclists and their environment, and finally, the focus group protocol, which serves to understand the point of view of the cyclists. Each of the instruments was developed following a design process in which all the knowledge acquired in the exploration prior to the design exercise was involved; in which, collaborating with different stages of validation and tests carried out with groups, individuals and academics, the instruments were consolidated. In conclusion, the project can be applied in future researches that have as a final goal to give body to a defined collective of people who have as a main means of transport the bicycle and with it to frame them within the taxonomy of urban cyclists, the characterization of the context and the urban environment.
