Análisis del tratamiento periodístico que el diario El País de Cali ha dado a los futbolistas afrocolombianos de la selección: torneos entre 2014 al 2019

Abstract

El presente trabajo de investigación tuvo como propósito analizar el tratamiento periodístico que el diario El País de la ciudad de Cali ha dado a los deportistas afrocolombianos pertenecientes a la Selección Colombiana de Fútbol durante el periodo 2014 - 2018, cuyo motivo se basa en la indagación acerca del papel de los medios de comunicación en la creación de contenido periodístico protagonizado por los futbolistas afrodescendientes. Para ello se realizó un análisis de las características, las fuentes informativas y el lenguaje utilizado en las notas periodísticas recopiladas y seleccionadas, basándose en la metodología de investigación planteada para el desarrollo del proyecto. A partir de esto, la preponderancia del desempeño de los futbolistas afrocolombianos y la carencia de términos racistas o despectivos contra estos figuran como elementos que componen el tratamiento periodístico actual dado por este medio de comunicación en particular

The purpose of this research work was to analyze the journalistic treatment that the newspaper El País of the city of Cali has given to Afro-Colombian athletes belonging to the Colombian Soccer Team during the period 2014 - 2018, whose motive is based on the investigation about of the role of the media in the creation of journalistic content featuring Afro-descendant soccer players. For this, an analysis of the characteristics, the information sources and the language used in the collected and selected journalistic notes was carried out, based on the research methodology proposed for the development of the project. From this, the preponderance of the performance of Afro-Colombian soccer players and the lack of racist or derogatory terms against them appear as elements that make up the current journalistic treatment given by this particular media
