Resumen
The implementation of a patient allocation system for the area of BMD
(Occupational Medical Diagnosis) of the company Occupational Health Unit (USO)
SAS, arises due to the need to streamline the administrative and assistance
processes of the USO, release labor burdens and to systematize the process of
patient assignment, favoring the reception of a greater number of client companies
and therefore a better coverage of the needs of the same.
Due to the above, the identification of need of the main users, design,
implementation, evaluation and testing of the application were raised as objectives.
For this, the cascade methodology was carried out, since it allowed the
development of the application, allowing the monitoring of its stages and activities,
in such a way that it does not allow advancing until the next step, if the previous
one has not been finalized. Allowing then the development of the stages that were
carried out, those was 1. Requirements analysis, 2. Design, 3. Construction and 4.
Testing and debugging.
As results, it is highlighted that thanks to the implemented methodology, it was
possible to maintain an order in relation to the objectives set at the beginning of the
project, since it did not generate delays or discomfort during the USO process, as
well as streamlined the process of users of the application, that is, the company's
personnel directly responsible for orientation, billing, registration and patient care.
Likewise, it was evidenced a greater increase of linking of client companies,
decrease in the attention times of the professionals and specialists of the use, in
addition to a greater recognition of the company
