Periodismo deportivo en Colombia: voces que hacen el cambio

Abstract

This document makes an account that gives an account of a process of professionalization of Colombian sports journalism that occurred during the last (20) twenty years. For its elaboration, it was necessary to build three axes through whose analytical interaction it is possible to trace this process. The proposed axes are: first, greater participation of Colombian athletes in international competitions, accompanied by their better performance; second, a technological leap that drives the globalization of the media that is multiplying both in spaces and in the media and the growing industrialization of sport; third, the constant and purposeful work of some sports journalists who marked an era in this profession. The document ends with a reflection on the importance of academic support for sports journalism and the rigorous conclusions.
