Resumen
The following statement presents information collected from the business mission made in Mexico, from the visit it was possible to identify certain problems and opportunities for improvement in the Coca Cola FEMSA bottling plant. In addition, there was another visit at the Coca Cola FEMSA’s Colombia plants in order to find similarities or differences in the reverse logistics process and differentiate the agents involved within the closed loop supply chain in each country. As a result, this is a review of the information gathered from each plant, which will help on the understanding and planning of specific strategies in order to improve the Bottlers Operation system. The methodology used in this case was the data collection model, based from living experiences at each business plant, whereby the basic and primary information was collected in the companies and secondary information taken from the sector and the context of each plant. Within the analysis based in the comparison of the closed loop supply chain of the plants, it was possible to identify the degree of integration of the bottling machines in each country. Consequently, the results given from this research suggests that the recycled resin supplier is a turning point, because of its role within the chain and the level of integration. Therefore, the bot-tlers must think about replacing the roll of the actors within their chain, in order to aim towards a better integration and the recycling objectives proposed by Coca Cola Company.
