Abstract

The asset that we want to protect is not knowledge, but the plurality of forms of socialization that it favors. We do not need the State to protect knowledge itself, but the networks through which it circulates. It is not about protecting the ideas that are published or deserve to receive a Nobel, like the infrastructures that sustain them and that are often as opaque as they are contrary to the commons.
