El deporte como derecho y la protección de la mujer futbolista en Colombia

Abstract

The main objective of this research is to investigate gender inequality in sport, understood as a right that the State has the duty to promote and guarantee. Based on the analysis of international and national regulations, this investigation is focused on women soccer players in Colombia, and it compares their situation with that of men who practice sport and the conditions that differentiate them, highlighting the barriers related to prejudice, discrimination and machismo. Based on this conceptual and regulatory analysis and the current reality of this phenomenon, an assessment will be conducted on the measures that other countries have adopted that have resulted in a more equitable practice of sport, in order to identify aspects that can be improved.
