Resumen
The International Center for Transitional Justice (ICTJ) held in March 2010 in Cartagena, the international seminar Transitional Justice at the local level, in order to publicize various Colombian and other experiences on programs and initiatives that have been led by local authorities and citizen groups to respond to various phenomena of political violence that have occurred in these countries. The ICTJ has chosen four important experiences at the local level, in order to integrate this book, they are: "The Commission of Truth and Reconciliation in Greensboro, North Carolina: An Example of Searching for Truth from the Local", " Reparations in the region of Huancavelica, Peru "," The case of the province of Tucumán in Argentina: story from the dictatorship towards a democracy with justice "and" Lessons from the development and implementation of the program of attention to victims of the armed conflict, from the Medellin's town hall". These texts have the characteristic of being written by authors who have participated as actors in these projects, or who know them directly because of their work. Their closeness to these projects gives these articles a very special character, as their authors can provide the reader with "a look from within", or in other words, from those who have personally lived these experiences or initiatives.
