La intención de esta investigación es analizar la relación entre el conflicto armado y el desempeño de los estudiantes en el examen de inglés ICFES Saber 11 en los últimos 10 años. Para el análisis se observa a la población educativa rural perteneciente a los departamentos de Antioquia y Chocó, considerando su fuerte historial de violencia a manos de los grupos armados al margen de la ley. Para llegar a los resultados se adaptó una metodología mixta correlacional que permitió utilizar un análisis cuantitativo y cualitativo que, a través de una revisión de los resultados de las bases de datos del ICFES y una entrevista de tipo abierta, reveló diferentes brechas educativas en estos departamentos.The intention of this research is to analyze the relationship among the armed conflict and students' performance in the ICFES Saber 11 English exam over the last 10 years. For the analysis, it is observed the rural educational population belonging to the departments of Antioquia and Chocó, considering their strong history of violence at the hands of the armed groups outside the law.
