Abstract

Generalmente las empresas se preocupan por buscar la forma de incrementar sus utilidades y así mismo la manera de minimizar sus costos y el tiempo de ejecución de sus diversas actividades, existen varios elementos que estas pueden o deben aprovechar para poder ser competitivas y sobrevivir en un mundo cambiante como lo es el de hoy en día. Indudablemente el concepto de Zona Franca no solo es una opción que las empresas pueden tomar para ayudarse a cumplir con el objetivo de ser más competitivas sino que es tal vez uno de los más importantes elementos que éstas pueden utilizar para llevar a cabo dichos objetivos. El Ministerio de Comercio modificó el régimen de zonas francas, con el objetivo de simplificar las operaciones que se hacen a través de esta herramienta comercial, además de flexibilizar el comercio exterior y unificar la normatividad existente en relación con este sector. Sin embargo, no solo es de importancia integrar toda la normatividad en materia de zonas francas. La idea del Gobierno Nacional es convertir a las principales ciudades del país en plataformas exportadoras, aumentando la producción de bienes y servicios, la mano de obra calificada y la inversión extranjera, a través de la atracción de diferentes empresas que creen sinergias entre los distintos sectores en que se desarrollan. Este proceso resulta fundamental, entendiendo la difícil situación comercial que afrontan esta zona de comercio e industria, golpeada fuertemente por el deterioro de las relaciones con Venezuela.

The Ministry of Commerce modified the free zone regime, with the aim of simplifying the operations carried out through this commercial tool, as well as making foreign trade more flexible and unifying the existing regulations in relation to this sector. However, it is not only important to integrate all regulations on free zones. The idea of the National Government is to convert the main cities of the country into export platforms, increasing the production of goods and services, skilled labor and foreign investment, through the attraction of different companies that create synergies between different sectors in which they develop. This process is fundamental, understanding the difficult commercial situation facing this area of commerce and industry, hit hard by the deterioration of relations with Venezuela.
