As the acquisition of knowledge is key to generate changes on students’ thinking and attitudes, this research project attempted to assess the impact of the game “Alma Salvaje” (Wild Soul) used as strategy to motivate students to enrich their knowledge in order to change environmental attitudes. Along the research, students showed an assertive motivation towards the pedagogical strategy due to it proposes a different classroom environment where students own their decisions and have as unique goal to save a specie of extinction. The implementation of this role game evidenced encouraging results; it demonstrated that if the student is motivated to learn, his/her knowledge increases and the attachment towards the environment gets stronger resulting on acritudes changes. Making a comparative exercise of the pre and posttest game analysis (before and after implementation), it was found that 50% approximately of the participants changed their attitudes reflected on their answers where they showed disagreement. In addition, this research showed that it is fundamental to approach the environmental learning in an integral and interdisciplinary way because students and teachers comprehended that the environment is not only the relation between ecosystems and biodiversity but, economical, political and social processes presented in the context. Moreover, the results evidenced that despite there are few innovative strategies to facilitate learning on students, the educational process must have as main objective to educate integral human beings, responsible with their environment and decisions takers in order to qualify and train them to face current issues.
