El artículo presenta una síntesis de las distintas ediciones que la obra del poeta jesuita y mexicano Diego Abad (s. XVIII) tuvo en Italia luego de la expulsión de la Compañía de Jesús en América. El cotejo de las primeras tres ediciones permite deducir que el programa total de la obra se fue modificando con la aparición de las mismas y que el texto fue creciendo no por agregados sino por expansión de cuadros. La última edición, póstuma, presenta un diseño centrado en la figura de Cristo vencedor y juez de la historia, lo que da a la obra un nuevo sentidoThis papers presents a summary of the different editions from the work of the Jesuit Mexican poet Diego Abad (Eigteenth Century) that appeared in Italy after the Jesuit’s expul- sion in America. The comparison among the three first editions allows to deduce that the whole architecture of the work was modified in the various versions, and that the text itself grew up not by means of adding up but by expansion of pictures.
