| dc.description | Se analizan en este artículo las representaciones discursivas construidas por el diario El Comercio, fundado en Lima en 1839, que sirvieron para difundir en la opinión pública un imaginario sobre los acontecimientos vinculados a la guerra entre Perú y España. El estudio demuestra cómo la influencia ejercida por el medio, a través de discursos patrióticos, de temores y de una posición férrea en contra de las decisiones tomadas por las autoridades del país, estimuló la reacción de la opinión pública y devino en la violenta resistencia de los limeños contra las intenciones españolas en tierras sudamericanas. | |
| dc.description | This article analyzes the discursive representations made by the newspaper El Comercio, founded in Lima in 1839, which served to disseminate an imaginary public opinion about the events referred to the war between Peru and Spain. The study demonstrates how the influence exerted by the publication, through patriotic speeches, fears and a strong position against the decisions taken by the country's authorities, stimulated the reaction of public opinion and became the violent resistnace of Limans against Spanish intentions in South America. | |
