Los diámetros de los cúmulos globulares y sus variables
The diameters of the globular clusters and the variable stars

Se muestra que la luminosidad y el logaritmo del diámetro aparente (o la luminosidad absoluta y el diámetro lineal) de los cúmulos globulares están relacionados entre si por una simple ecuación linea. En 15 cúmulos ricos en variables los diámetros fueron estimados en base a la distribución de variables pertenecientes a los mismo. En otros 140 cúmulos se usaron los diámetros sensitomótricos de Shapley y Sayer, corregidos por absorción. It is shown that the luminosity and the logarithm of the apparent diameter (or the absolute luminosity and the linear diameter) of the globular clusters are related by a linear equation. In 15 variable-rich globular clusters the diameters were estimated from the distribution of these variables. In other 14O clusters the sensitometric diameters of Shapley and Sayor were used, after taking into account the absorption correction. Asociación Argentina de Astronomía
