| dc.description | En el presente artículo se realiza una aproximación a tres obras pictóricas expuestas en el Museo Histórico Nacional (MHN) producidas hacia fines del siglo XIX. Pertenecientes al género de pintura histórica, estas obras cobraron gran importancia en el marco político y social que se vivía en Argentina. El giro positivista que se traduce en el arte con un naturalismo imperante a su vez se sustenta con una construcción simbólica de los hechos históricos, que señala la conformación de una nueva identidad nacional, guiada por los ideales de orden y progreso. El archivo del MHN, que en un principio acompañaba este proceso, con el devenir de los años se vuelve crítico y abre un nuevo espacio de debate entre la obra y los documentos. | |
| dc.description | The present article makes an approach to three pictorial works exhibited at the National Historical Museum (MHN) produced towards the end of the 19th century. Belonging to the genre of historical painting, these works became important to the political and social context that was developing in Argentina. The positivist turn that translates in art with a prevailing naturalism is also supported by a symbolic construction of historical facts, towards the formation of a new national identity guided by the ideals of order and progress. The archive of the MHN that initially accompanied this process becomes critical over time and opens a new space for debate between the work and the documents. | |
