The objective of this work was to evaluate the leaching of the residual herbicide imazaquin when applied simultaneously or in sequence to non-selective herbicides paraquat and glyphosate. In the present work we evaluated, under field conditions at the Estação Experimental Agronômica of the Universidade Federal do Rio Grande do Sul (EEA/UFRGS), in no-till area, and in the growing chamber of the Faculdade de Agronomia of the UFRGS under Argissolo Vermelho Distrófico típico (Ultisol) contend 28% of clay. The experimental design used was the random blocks with four repetitions, being the treatments distributed in subdivided plots. The nonselective herbicides were placed in the main plots (paraquat, 600 g ha-1 or glyphosate 720 g ha-1), the residual herbicide imazaquin (300 g ha-1) were applied in the subplots associated or sequentially to the non-selective herbicides. The control treatment consisted of non-selective herbicide, without application of the residual herbicide. The presence of non-selective herbicides didn’t affect the leaching of the residual herbicide when applied on cover crop. There is no difference between associated and sequential application of the non-selective herbicides on the leaching of imazaquin. The bioavailable concentration in soil collected 25 days after the application was highest among 2-8 cm depth. In this sense, the herbicide imazaquin has low leaching capacity.
