This is a frontal view of the majestic monument which was placed at War Memorial Park, Port of Spain, in honour of Trinidad and Tobago nationals who served and died in World Wars I and II, 1914-1918 and 1939-1945. One of its four walkways, leading to the Cenotaph at the center, is featured prominently in the foreground. The full length of the monument, with all its statues and stairs, is clearly visible and it is surrounded by palms. The building to the right in the photograph looks like a church. The monument was installed on 28 June 1924, at what was once called the Small Savannah. There is a bench in the foreground and someone, dressed in white, is standing on the stairs.
