Análisis De La Tarea De Selección Por Medio De Una Semántica Temporal.

Abstract

Peter Wason´s selection task has the problem that a high percentage of participants executing it offer a wrong response. In this paper, I propose a possible explanation of the most common selection in this task. My explanation, on the one hand, assumes that the participants tend to perfect the conditional that appears in the rule of selection task and, on the other hand, uses the approach of temporary logic, taking from this approach a semantics based on instants in time and the unary logical operator Next. My basic ideas are that the participant interprets that the rule can only be applied to the cards that show on its visible faces the terms mentioned in it, and that turning over a card means the shift to a subsequent moment. Resumen La tarea de selección de Peter Wason presenta el problema de que un alto porcentaje de los participantes que la ejecutan ofrecen una respuesta equivocada. En este trabajo, proponemos una explicación posible de la selección mayoritaria en dicha tarea. Nuestra explicación, por una parte, asume que los participantes tienden a perfeccionar el condicional que aparece en la regla de la tarea de selección y, por otra, recurre al marco de la lógica temporal, del que toma una semántica basada en instantes en el tiempo y el operador unario Next. Nuestras ideas básicas son que el participante interpreta que la regla sólo afecta a las tarjetas que muestran los términos mencionados en sus caras visibles y que el hecho de girar una tarjeta implica el tránsito a un instante posterior en el tiempo.
