Resumen
Deviant and abusive behaviors in the workplace affect the organizational climate and cause employee
commitment to deteriorate. Among them, low-severity deviant behaviors are the most difficult to detect,
given that they occur in a subtle and subjective way by means of the successive social interactions between
individuals at work. The organizational literature offers multiple constructs, with definitions and
boundaries that often overlap, and thus hinder their adequate treatment. Based on a literature review,
this study analyzes 14 different constructs referred to as low-severity deviant behaviors at work, with
the purpose of identifying their underlying common dimensions and examining the factors that facilitate
their occurrence, and dissemination within the organizational context. This review concludes by
discussing its practical implications.
