Resumen
This document represent a research to the aqueous dispersions of two binders at
different concentrations, Hydroxypropylmethyl Cellulose RH (3 %, 4 %, 5 %, 6 %
and 7 % w/v) and Sodium alginate (0.5 %, 1 %, 2 % , 3 % and 4 % w/v), in these
were determinated physicochemical characteristics as pH, density (specific weight)
and viscosity, which were reported in their respective datasheets. As well also,
establish the performance characteristics of the granulation, through fluidization
technique for three of the five concentrations studied of the aqueous dispersions of
each material.
The functionality characteristics or performance about the proposed use as binders
corresponded to granulometric measurements and the fluidity; this determinations
were made to the product obtained of granulation process of a diluent commonly
used, Lactose monohydrate alimentary-grade, with each of the selected binder
dispersions in a granulator of fluid bed.
Actually, the Pharmaceutical Laboratory Carval Colombia, company dedicated to
the production and marketing of veterinary pharmaceuticals, is interested in the
development and production of dosage forms types granulated, which bring on the
uniform distribution of the product in the mixing of products where they are
incorporated, ensuring correct dosing of the product, since this prevent the
segregation of the active ingredient, improve the homogeneity of the mixing
process, and allow to obtain a product with good flow and a lower percentage of
fine dusts. All this proof the need of have useful information about the possible use
of different excipients in a pharmaceutical shape of granulate type, remain central
the binders.
