dc.description.abstractCon esta obra pretendemos, de una forma amena y con alto rigor científico, brindar información y mostrar la riqueza de la biodiversidad cubana. Trataremos sobre la importancia de nuestro archipiélago dentro del contexto regional y mundial para la preservación de la biota del planeta y se resaltará por qué se considera un “punto caliente” de la diversidad biológica en la Tierra. With this work we intend, in an entertaining way and with high scientific rigor, to provide information and show the richness of Cuban biodiversity. We will discuss the importance of our archipelago within the regional and global context for the preservation of the biota of the planet and it will be highlighted why it is considered a "hot spot" of the biological diversity on Earth.
