dc.description.abstractOne of the problems that affect the society is directly related to natural disasters originated by events such as flooding and erosion. The analyses of these events are based on the study of geomorphology, in the case of this thesis we are focus on surface hydrology and its components such as watersheds and drainage. Recently, we have incorporated the so-called Geographic Information Systems (GIS) that, in general, support for the storage, handling, analysis and visualization of geographic data. This kind of system allows to semi-automatically analyzes some of which have traditionally been performed manually. Achieving important advantages over previous approaches. This thesis is focused on modeling the hydrological and erosive dynamics of the Nazas - Rodeo River Basin with a Geographic Information System, in order to take advantage of these tools.
