Resumen
Increasing interest towards the application of renewable energy, wind power has
been increased attention by researchers. Studies have been conducted in order to
improve the aerodynamic performance of vertical turbines such as turbine
Darrieus and turbine Savonius, in this investigation is shown how is provides a
computational analysis of the impact of wind on various geometric configurations
proposed and studied previously. The dimensions of the turbines are adapted to
the geometric relationships previously analyzed and proposed in such a way that
respects the original profile of each turbine. The size of each turbine is actually
small, since it proposes its application for power generation at low power in arrays
that can be placed on mobile devices taking advantage of the wind energy due to
the resistance offered to the displacement of the mobile. We conclude that the
twisted Savonius turbine arrangement has better performance with respect to the
flow analysis performed, however, from the point of view this type of turbine
manufacturing is the one with more complexity in its construction. In the future we
intend to implement this proposal on mobile devices such as radio control cars,
and cars, which require a power supply.
