Abdominal pain is common in the ED and for many reasons, is often a diagnostic challenge. The nature and quality of abdominal pain can be difficult to refer to the patient. Physical examination findings of this complaint are variable and may suggest differentdiagnoses. This study found that the main cause of AAD in this age group is GEPI, followed by biliary patologia boxes, so that we can infer that this be a reflection of the culture of hygienic dietary habits the population studied, the which goes hand in hand with the results observed in the low percentage of patients requiring surgical treatment and the few patients who came to use intermediate care unit
