EL IMPACTO DEL PROGRAMA DE ESCUELAS DE TIEMPO COMPLETO AMPLIADO EN LA COMUNIDAD DE LA SECUNDARIA 14

Resumen
This work is a mixed type investigation since it combines qualitative and
quantitative elements. The purposes are to enrich the obtained results and to study the
topic of Full Time Schools Program extended to the high school Number 14. It explains
thetheFull Time School Program raised(FTSPR)context and specifiesits background and
its objectives. It contains the information about how this program was started and the way
it works inside the school. It presents either, information of the social school context.
Two instruments were elaborated and applied to students and their parents of the
FTSPR expanded. When the results were analyzed the main findings were that the impact
of this program in the community has been minimum and the activities made in the full
time schedule do not please the parents or the students. That is why the students donot
like to stay in this schedule. This also affects the enrollment to the program.
Some concepts were explained, such as: recreational activities andgame, also
some theories: psychological, educational and psychogenetic theories that make reference
to adolescents (Piaget, Erikson and Vigotsky).
Piaget theory, Erikson theoryand Vigotskytheorywere studied to better
understanding of development of the High School number 14`s adolescents who
participate infull time activities. These theories were linked to the High school 2006 study
plan and the FTSPR`s objectives. This work found that there were recreational activities
that because their characteristics they help the high school students development, andthey
help to achieve the participate infull time activities. These theories were linked to the High
school studyplan objectives and this program.
Therefore, this thesis proposes recreational activities according to the ages of the
adolescents and their interests and it helps to comply the documents previously referred.
Recreational activities were tried to be supported as a strategy to improve the impact that
this program could have in school community, since this program is new in this level of
education.
