Resumen
This paper develops a methodology based on integer linear programming that provides a solution to the problem of channel assignment in a communications network.
We define an electromagnetic adjacency matrix, that defines the electromagnetic links between two sectors that cannot use the same channel to establish a communications link, to this end we developed a program coded in Matlab which builds the matrix considering possible links that could present co-channel interference or adjacent channel depending the georeferencing sectors belonging to the communications network.
The mathematical model described to solve the problem of channel allocation can be stated as an optimization problem and can be solved by solver that containing algorithms to solve these problems.
The solution to problem of allocation resulting from the implementation of the methodology developed in this work is compared with the solution that offers a professional tool for the development of mobile and wireless networks, in order to validate the efficiency of channel assignment obtained by propagation analysis specific that provide information about the network performance when applied a frequency plan in the communications network
