| dc.description | Como resultado de sus viajes por Patagonia, Francisco P. Moreno público la narración de los mismos en el tomo I de la obra: “Viaje a la Patagonia austral”. En el prólogo de la misma anunciaba la preparación del tomo II que contendría la descripción de todo el material recolectado. Ese tomo III nunca fue escrito, aunque ya había mandado imprimir las láminas que debían ilustrarlo.<br />
El conjunto de las colecciones ha permanecido inédito hasta la fecha y ha sido mi propósito darlo a conocer en base a los elementos todavía conservados en el Museo de La Plata o, en defecto, de sus propias láminas. El instrumental lítico ha sido recogido en la superficie, tiene, por consiguiente, un valor exclusivamente tipológico; el óseo humano, en las condiciones que se determinan en el texto. Las pinturas han encontrado su complemento en fotografías que tomé, hace años, visitando la localidad.<br />
Es interesante una pequeña serie de objetos de facies macrolítica encontrados en punta Gualichú. | |
| dc.description | As a result from his voyages through Patagonia, Francisco P. Moreno published the relation of the same in the first volume of the book “Viaje a la Patagonia austral”. In its preface he announced the preparation of the second volume which would contain the description of all the material recollected. Such second volume was never written, though he had already ordered the printing of the plates which were to illustrate it.<br />
The whole of the collections has remained unpublished to this date and it has been my purpose to make it known, having as ground work the elements still kept at the Museo de La Plata or in deíect whereof, his own illustrations.<br />
The lithic implements have been gathered superficially and, consequently, their only valué is for the study of their forms; the human skeletons were collected under the conditions expressed in the text. The set of peintings has been com- pleted by some photographs I took, years ago, on a visit to the place.<br />
A small collection of objects of macrolithic facies found at Gualichú Point is very interesting. | |
