Resumen
The present article aims to analyze the contributions that the flipped classroom (SAI) mediated by information and communication technologies (TICs) can bring to enhance the teaching and learning of chemistry, making students more autonomous in the construction of scientific knowledge . This article is part of the qualitative case study carried out in a public school in the municipality of Cerro Grande, in the state of Rio Grande do Sul, with 10 students aged between 16 and 18 years old and the teacher-researcher. The data analysis was conducted through an evaluation questionnaire of the teaching methodology and the use of WhatsApp in the teaching of chemistry. In this approach, students should pre-study the material at home, using video and text, before being worked in the classroom. The analysis of the data allowed to conclude that the students' perceptions regarding the methodology used were positive. They pointed out that the use of TICs provided greater interaction among students in the classroom and facilitated learning. The teacher-researcher noticed the formation of collaboration groups.
