Resumen
The use of social networks, such as Facebook, has been growing every day. This increase has allowed social movements, especially those of gender, race and class, to gain prominence, but also changed information and knowledge transmission. Women across the country have used Facebook groups, many with an eco-feminist bias, to exchange experiences and learn. To understand how these groups could serve as an Environmental Education tool, 157 women members of varying groups answered a questionnaire about how they use and participate in these forums. The medium age was between 18 and 34 years for 91% of women and 89% of women consider themselves feminist. So most of them believe that exchanges between women are a very important network of empowerment, often the initiative and the will were already present but lacked of information and experiences of other women for a greater understanding and from these exchanges 98% of them managed to modify at least one type of attitude towards themselves and the environment. Despite the limitations caused by the use of the Internet, these women also transmit knowledge beyond the web, in their families, work and community in general. In order for other women to access this type of content, a list of groups and their various themes was also made.
