This paper presents a research in the visual arts, specifically in the field of photography, considering the relationship of art and technology. The poetic research focuses on underwater photography and drawing up fictional scenes. The dissertative text begins with a historical survey in relation to photography and its relationship with art, relying primarily on the means of capturing images by cameras. A survey data is presented since the first attempts and the fact that early experiences with underwater photography. Data in relation to photography as video, are related to evidence that even having a closer relationship with biology, cameras produced to the aquatic environment, they presented as a tool for production of artistic material. Artistic productions working with the issue of underwater photography features or use of this environment are analyzed in their practices. For this dissertation addressed two series of photographs and a video of my research in visual poetics that represent differently, everyday scenes displaced to the aquatic environment. In this series discusses the concept of aesthetics of photography on the action of water, as the visibility, fiction and temporality in photographic images and videos.
