Desafios e possibilidades de atuação do coordenador pedagógico: um estudo de caso de alunos oriundos das classes populares

This paper presents a study to a understanding of the work and identity of the educational coordinator at the school nowadays. Thus, this paper, through a qualitative research, aimed to search the challenges and possibilities of the activities of educational coordinator in the daily life of a local school of students from low-income classes. The research used as reference data gathering done by means of a questionnaire given to school teachers from August/2018 to October/2018. This aimed to obtain answers that showed their point of views about the demands of which the school has difficulty in handling and as they understand that they should have a continued training at school. At the same, a case study was carried out to better understand the subjective character of the school organizational culture and the bibliographical study of theoretical references relevant to the subject. Based on the teachers’ answers, when observing the context researched and theoretical studies the result showed that the learning process of the members of that school community needs to be increasingly enhanced and continuous. As the reality changes and therefore the knowledge always needs to be built, revised, enlarged and committed to the social environment. To sum up, this study shows that the coordinator at school is fundamental to articulating a process in which the institution is a community of teaching and learning. This collectively will reflect, plan and act in seeking to achieve the objectives provided for guaranteeing learning for everyone and quality of education.
